Freemans Bay double villas

This mammoth project involves two 1920 villas in the Central Auckland suburb of Freemans Bay, that we are fully renovating simultaneously. In both, we are keeping the historical elements intact, by restoring original features where possible or creating exact replicas, while maintaining a high level of finish. Outside, both backyards have been fully excavated, both with lap pools (10m and 15m), cabanas, landscaping and outdoor dining areas.

The larger house will be lifted up and two stories added underneath, turning it into a brand new six-bedroom, six-bathroom home. Next door (which is now completed) has been built as two separate properties, the lowest level as a fully self-contained two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, with the top two levels featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Paerata country home

This project is a new build on bare land, in rural South Auckland. The design is unique, described as a country home with a modern touch, spacious in every aspect. The use of three different types of cladding – brick, larch and rock – add depth and character to the exterior, giving it an ‘old yet new’ feel.

The home has four bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom, along with two lounges and a great hall featuring a kitchen and lounge area. Special features include a two-sided fireplace, hidden doors throughout, four different arches and an attic space, which adds versatility to the house.

The location is away from the hustle and bustle but still accessible to the city, giving the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. It combines the best of both worlds, offering modern amenities while maintaining the charm of a country home. This is truly a dream house for our clients.

Takapuna knockdown new build

This existing two-level house in the heart of Takapuna is being completely knocked down and rebuilt from scratch, with only the garage remaining. Architecturally designed by Mercer and Mercer, the original family home is in need of a makeover, so we are modernising the home and updating the layout.

The home will have four bedrooms and three bathrooms plus study and rumpus, maximising the sweeping views of the city. It will feature a pool and decking area at the front and a spa and outdoor living at the back.
