Suburb: Orakei, Auckland
Architect: Jones Architects
Interior Design: Bonham Interiors
Build type: Multi-storey concrete masonry residence
Positioned on a spectacular Orakei site with sweeping views to Rangitoto, this grand four-storey residence was designed as a statement home combining architectural presence with resort-style living.
Constructed using concrete masonry and the STO plaster system, the home features sculptural curves formed with Accumen Shapes and high-performance Low-E double glazing throughout. The design maximises its elevated position, capturing panoramic water views from every level.
The layout centres around entertaining and lifestyle. The top floor is dedicated to social spaces, including a bar and dining area, while the basement houses a cinema, sauna, full gym, and secure parking. A lift provides effortless access between all floors, complemented by a dramatic staircase wrapped in continuous balustrading from top to bottom.
Interior finishes reflect the home’s luxury positioning, with marble, solid oak flooring, plush carpets, and bespoke detailing throughout. Every space has been carefully curated to deliver comfort, scale, and visual impact.
Outcome: A bold architectural residence that combines engineering precision with high-end living — a landmark home designed to showcase its extraordinary site.
